Review:The Face Shop's Raspberry Roots Sleeping Mask

Review on The Face Shop's Raspberry Roots Sleeping Mask

Hey guys!I'm back with another review, this time it's The Face Shop's Raspberry Roots Sleeping Mask:)Again,I found out about this product when I was aimlessly going through reviews on different products on the net during my super lethargic study week-I do wierd things during study week :pAnyway,I was delighted when I saw this one.I've only ever heard of face masks, never heard of sleeping masks, and again,I was tempted(I'm a sucker for face packs!).Besides,I was already a fan of Face Shop-one of my favourite Korean skincare line.I find their products suit Asian skin like mine-as I'm also using their Chia Seed sebum control moisturiser.I got this at RM99 at one of their branch in The Empire in Subang Jaya. Was kind of gambling it since it was a bit pricey for only 100ml :pBut decided to just splurge since it's a face mask-reasons can't get any better haha.I like it's packaging. It's packed in a white box with lil' pink berry prints(i  think they're berries). There's something about Face Shop's packaging that gets me excited every time I open them;)Check out the packaging...
The description on the box says;Skin problems?Try sleeping on it with this overnight beauty mask & wake up to porcelain smooth skin.Himalayan Raspberry Roots & Grain Extracts optimize elasticity & tighten pores while thoroughly hydrating & replenishing skin of extracts in the formulation promote the natural secretion of pleasure inducing the beta endorphins & stimulate the formation of collagen for more youthful skin.
To be honest I was caught up by the term 'porcelain smooth skin'-though that sounds a lil' too good to be true...
Looks like a blob of strawberry yoghurt ,featuring Homer Simpson :P

Spreads easily!
How to use:
It says; Before going to bed, spread evenly over face avoiding the lips & the areas around the eyes.Rinse thoroughly with warm water the following morning.
I'd usually have a different way of applying products but for this I did not. It's just so simple to use-spread it,then leave it overnight.Plus since it's gel based & almost colourless,I don't have to wash the hands after.I just spread the left overs from my fingers,to my hands & leave them.

My verdict:
I always have high expectations for Face Shop's products. And this did meet my expectations, but only to a certain degree.I like the fact that it's gel-based,great for my combination-oily skin.I also like its light texture &  the pink hue it has to it-reminds me of strawberry yoghurt :)It's got a good scent to it-was expecting something berry-ish,but it hasn't got any of that.Although it did have a lil' fruity smell to it,just not berries.I thought it smelt like one of the shampoos I have.It didn't give me breakouts, which I'm happy for. There wasn't a really a reduction in my pore size, like how it claim it'll do,especially at the cheeks.Maybe I'll have to wait longer for the results to pop up.No,I did not wake up with porcelain skin but my skin definitely felt smoother & felt hydrated.I think it'll be good to use when you're sleeping in an air-conditioned room-less water zapped out from the skin. All in all I think it's a good 'maintenance' face mask, not a 'deep cleansing' one(like my fave; Himalaya's Neem face pack). But I'll still be looking out for other sleeping masks-especially ones that'll be able to show a marked reduction in the pore size department :D
Hopefully my review helped!See ya next time for another one!

Long Wait Ended!

Hi guys!I'm just so excited I just have to brag about this!My Exo merchandises that I got from Naddy's Shop Lot finally arrived!!Well, not exactly. The post man apparently came on Wednesday but I just had to be in the kitchen at that time,so I didn't even notice when he came. Was kinda mad about it because I've been waiting for them for so long & when it finally arrived-I just had to be in the kitchen bwahax. So I was obsessed over that fact the rest of my Wednesday, because I got a slip from the post man, saying that I can only claim them on Thursday:p But then I finally claimed them yesterday!!Was so excited & somehow nervous hahax when I got the package. My mom followed me to claim the package & she looked at me like I was some crazy fan girl.
Anyway I did tell you the things I purchased from the blogshop-the hand creams plus an Exo Kris sweatshirt. But I got so many freebies that came together with them!I got a poster with only some of the members in it-including Kris! She also gave me Nature Republic's Snail Solution Hydrogel Mask Sheet,a somewhat similar black bandanna the members usually use during their performances & an Exo paper file with pictures of their promotion during 'Growl'!I love what I got together  with the freebies which was so considerate to an avid Exo fan -like myself :pThe one fact that I like the most is that she gave me almost all the things I wanted.I actually made a personal request so that I could get a box of the Nature Republic's hand creams, containing at least a green tea scented hand cream-which was CRUCIAL because each hand cream represents an Exo member & Kris' green tea!So from that I think she could've guessed my bias is Kris!So guess what??!She got me not only the green tea scented one but also the box came with a Kris' signed(but printed T.T)photo card!!Ok I'm starting to sound crazee! The other flavours that I got  are raspberry(D.O's),grapefruit(Sehun's),wild cherry(Luhan's), apple mango(Baekhyun's) & Brazil nut butter(no ones).I was actually hoping she wouldn't give me flavours that weren't of any members' like the Brazil nut butter-but I was too happy to bother much.Till now,I've only opened the green tea & grapefruit flavoured ones. The green tea hand cream has the same smell as my Chia seed moisturiser:)The rest,I'm going to take time to open because they're too precious hee.One more thing I love is that the packaging of the sheet mask has Exo's picture on it.All twelve of them look great in white but I can scence some forced smiling faces hahax must be awkward for them during the photo sessions I guess.
So these are the things I got.Feast your eyes!

Sad Day for Malaysia

So you've probably heard of the news-the MH370 Malaysian Airlines flight that went missing since the 8th of March was confirmed by our Prime Minister himself, that its journey ended in the southern Indian Ocean.I won't go in too much details on this bcoz I bet almost everyone's heard their own share of news & Malaysia's been quite a spectacle for the past few weeks due to this. Many theories have been brought up about the reasons for its lost. Some, which I think were overly politicised & insensitive ,with little care of what  the missing passengers' & crews' family & friends were & still are going through right now.I got to catch the  press conference held by the Prime Minister -10 pm live last night. To be honest,I too, felt the anxiety & nervousness even though I haven't got any relations on board of the missing flight. And I'm sure most Malaysians are going through the same thing. And I want their families & friends to know that Malaysia, well at least I am,are behind them & are here to support them.My condolences to them.Al-Fatihah.

Innocence of a "Teenage Girl"

Hi guys! How was your weekend?Hopefully it went well.Mine was so-so.My lil' sister came home from college for the weekend.Well there was nothing unusual to that, since she comes back home every other weekend.Explains my lack of excitement during the the weekend haha. But that's that. I've been secretly excited for this week for the whole weekend.Secretly you ask? You'll know in a bit:p
Apparently my house mate & I, back in Bangalore kind of did something crazy. It's actually kinda my fault since I introduced this one blog to her.Guess what!?The blog sell merchandises of  both of our favourite boy group Exo!For those of you who don't know Exo-they're a 12 membered boy group from South Korea. They've made a debut since 2012,but we've only started noticing them late last year:D I've already told you guys on how I got stuck to these boys-this' all Jane,my house mate's fault:p Yet,I'm thankful that she "opened my heart" to them-bcoz never in a million years I'd thought I'd make a U-turn & go all crazy of boy groups again! But no regrets here! Thanks Jane!!
        Anyways,going back to how excited I'am about the blog shop I was talking to you earlier,both of us in all our craziness-bought ourselves, each;
1.Exo's Nature Republic handcream set
2.Exo Golden Disk Awards' sweatshirt
I know what you're thinking;we've gone nuts!Though I know, out there, there're more hardcore fans who'd go around buying more-so that's how I tell myself 'it's ok' :p.Besides selling these 2,the blog,Naddy's Shop Lot,also sells stuffs of One Direction & Justin Bieber. The conclusion=this' a "pretty boys' fandom's shopping heaven".And I'm in the fandom yikes! For the handcream,we both bought ourselves a set of 6 each. This was during our 2nd year finals Professional Exam's study week-guess we were stressed out huh :pI've made a personal request to the blogger to specifically get me a green tea scented handcream-there's a reason to this tooo!Apparently each different scented handcreams of Nature Republic represent each Exo members.By looking at the pictures I've put on the sidebar, obviously my ultimate bias in Exo would be Kris!I even got myself his initials that is 'Kris 00" for the Golden Disk Award's sweatshirt that I ordered.Instead,Jane got herself Luhan's with his initial -the number 7.I didn't really told my parents I bought them hee,I've only told my mom-not my dad. He'll be like "Something's wrong with my daughter":p.My mom must have been startled when I told her about it haha.Felt kinda bad for them.Bcoz back when I was 14 till I was 19,was really into football. My friends & I were known as football freaks. We went to watch football matches at the stadium, discussions of pre & post matches during recess, played football & futsal & almost all other things you'd imagine football fanatics would do!During that time my parents had to put up with my craziness but they weren't opposing or anything.Instead I think they're kinda glad I was like that-acting like how normal teenage girls would be like at that age.Except that that not all girls at that age are crazy over football. That's why I love my girlfriends who were a lil' different than the other girls in my school. But then I changed school-boarding school ,to be exact when I was 16.Then,sooner than later,my love for football declined.Being far away from them & not having anyone to talk about football with resulted to that. But that's another story-some of my close friends would know of bcoz I'll be whining about that whenever I'd think of the past:p But now since I've got Jane to talk  to about our love for Exo,fan girling seems too fun to not to,you know what I mean??And since I'm 21(turning 22 this year, but still want too keep my 'I'm 21 status' for as long as possible :p)I do understand the wierd faces people would make when they see me in "this" state.Gosh!I make fangirling sound like it's such a bad thing!Sorry fan girls out there.Especially to Exo fan girls. No it's not wrong to be one as long as anyone of us don't go too overboard like neglecting ourselves, our social life or even our family & friends. If all of that's fine & in a balanced state then I don't see anything wron g with it!Plus you can be of any age to be a fangirl & not feel guilty about it!I'm actually trying to reassure myself right now of my recent rendezvous at Naddy's Shop Lot hahax.
So yeah,I'm a 21 years old+ obsessive + compulsive Exo fan :D-who knows my limit,of course:DAnyways I'm still in excited mode & can't wait for the postman to give me the parcel.Hopefully it comes before the end of this week-bcoz I've been bugging the blogger a lot due to my lack of impatience-who can blame me?!If you're an Exo fan you'd understand T.T-only an Exotic would.Exotic is the name of Exo's official fan club.Thought of signing myself & Jane into the Malaysian official Exotic fan club, but backed down thinking of all the more obsessive feelings for Exo(especially Kris!)that'll build up-too much!Plus being a hardcore fan is hard work! You need dedication & perseverance-I know what it feels like. That's how I felt during my football era.So if I ever do get my parcel,I'd post about them & brag 24/7-so hopefully the sweatshirt will turn out ok since it's with Kris' initials!
So till then bye!Thank you for reading!
Ps here are some of my favourites of Exo!
                                                             My bias  Kris!
The members
Exo as a christmast tree!Jane's fave on the top

Reviews reviews reviews..

Hi!It's nice to be here again:)Have been writing only on reviews here recently.Do check them out-I've managed to do two of them. The reviews are purely my thoughts & I tried to be as detailed as I can when writing them.Tried to put myself in normal consumers' shoes and tried to answer questions people would usually ask before buying products. So I hope I did well on that:)
Nothing particularly great has happened this past one week,I mostly stayed at home. These few days mainly consist of TV + eat + doing the laundry + blogging(here!) + more of eating :p Bwahax oh yeah I've still haven't get the move on!Haven't exercised in ages!Hopefully the inspiration to do so kicks in by Monday next week hahaha I NEED SOME INSPIRATION!!Well that's not necessarily true, bcoz I once heard that success equals to 99% sweat & ONLY 1%of perspiration. So my lack of "inspiration" shouldn't be the answer for me not to start exercising!See!I know this but I can't even apply it as a "routinely applicable principle" for myself-it's sad T.T.
Besides my struggle in making my non-existing work-out routine to actually "exist",I'm also working on my mini experimental online clothes store together with my sister. It's on Instagram as passionate_me3-please follow me:)Haven't really done much on it so please do wait for me & hopefully you'll like the stuffs we'll be selling there!
So I guess that's about it for today-hope you liked what you've just read!See you again buh-bye!

It's raining!!

Helloo!!A lot of things've happened since last Friday.First thing;the wedding was great last Sunday-& I wish both the lovely couple who're both my friends all the luck in the world, well not all bcoz I need some for myself too:DThe atmosphere was great, her dress was pretty in classic white-she herself was gorgeous in white & the food,of course was great! All in all I had a great time last weekend with both friends over at my house too.Had made our way around some malls which I've missed for so long & one of them being one of my favourite malls in Malaysia-Subang Parade!I love its laid back, quiet atmosphere.Last time like 5 years back it was way quieter than it came to be now.My mom would always bring me & my sisters there & our favourite place there would be MPH bookstore.I love MPH!Especially the branch they have there.I could sit there for hours & read(well.mostly magazines:p).Plus they always play good music there.Mostly classics & the orange-y lighting just compliment my whole reading experience there.
Anyways, what I was really excited about above every other things last weekend, was that it started to rain(finally!) in Subang. It hasn't been raining for a long time here.Even ever since I wasn't back for the holidays. Was really bummed when I heard it hasn't rained for a while here.Made my holidays here looking bleak. But luckily it started to rain again last Saturday-was on the commuter on my way to Subang Parade when it did. There's just something about sitting in a public transport while it rains-you get all melancholic but in a good way:)So I'm really thankful for the rain!!Hopefully there'll be no water rationing here-which I hate hate hate!So pray for rain peopleeeee.Ok so random I know-.-
Besides an almost 'negative raining' state Malaysia's in together with the haze,we're also kinda in a 'national crisis'-with what of the news of the missing flight MH370 of Malaysia Airlines since the 8th of March.Making my water problems seem less daunting than what may the families & friends of the passengers & crews of the missing flight are experiencing right now.To the families & friends,I hope u stay calm & strong in this difficult time.I know it's easier said than done as I've not a clue of what  u're all experiencing-& wouldn't even dream to be in your shoes. But I hope u know the whole of Malaysia is here for u & never lose hope just yet.No matter what the outcome may be we should all stay strong always. To the others don't get caught up being a spreader of false rumours or unverified news .It's unhealthy for the families & friends plus it'll mess up the search & rescue progress.Put yourselves in their shoes & try to be a little sensitive of the current situation. My prayers go to the passengers & crews of the missing flight & hope we do recover the missing flight ASAP.
So that's all for now-thank u for reading!

Just wanna say hi:D

Just wanted to let u know my weekend will be a lil' hectic.I'm having 2 friends of mine over to my house for the weekends till Monday.Bcoz we're gonna be attending to our classmate's wedding!!This Sunday!!Yikes! Both bride-to-be & the groom are my friends, the bride's our current classmate.I know right!!?So young & already about to get married!I can't imagine myself being her but yeah all the best wishes to both of them & hope they'll live happily ever after la la la:DRight now I have my face mask on right now so I can't really focus on what I'm typing so I'm gonna call this off & I'll come back when everything's less hectic-after the wedding's over.Till then see ya!

Slow start to the holidays..

I know it sounds wierd,usually,people-normal people would want a slow-paced,relaxing holiday to unwind themselves. But as in right now,I'm the opposite.I've been back for a week already & I think I've been too relax for the past one week-which's good, bcoz I wouldn't be regretting after this, for not giving myself enough rest, which I totally needed-I love me:DYou'll know by now, if u've been reading my previous posts, that I'm planning to make this looong holiday worth it!I scored that goal today,as in right now by being regular here with a new post(here comes the word 'regular' again).I'm planning to do more stuffs but I'm not really sure where to start-everything's so overwhelming yet so exciting.I once heard this phrase,it goes;"I'm excited for the future"-heard it from one the American Idol contestant-not sure from which season, but that phrase has inspired me ever since. And right now I'm excited about my future-but I've got to think it down first & not be so 'kamchiong'-I'm not sure if the spelling's correct, but it's Chinese for haha I can't find a word for it in English, but if u're Malaysian it's 'gelabah'.Hahax my housemate & I use that word quite a lot, she's the one who taught me the word.
Anyways, this holiday I was thinking on "widening" my business potentials.Doesn't sound great?Holidaying while making money!!I was tempted that's why I was thinking of joining forces with one of my elder sister. She's an interior designer in the making but she has already design a few dresses, casual wears etc. She's got her own freaking tailor!!She's even designed one of her friend's wedding dress & somehow became a wedding planner!I'm so jealous of her but I think that's how I want to be-studying,at the same time have side incomes:DSo I've got to learn from her.One of the things she does is,design some garments than instruct her tailor to sow them-which I think is such a cool idea!I mean I want my own tailor-bcoz I'm so bad at anything that includes needles & thread. In Malaysia we have this 'Kemahiran Hidup' classes-a subject to"prepare" us for the real world, the boys & girls study the same subject but under different divisions;the boys get the more technical part, the girls had to learn something like"household economy etc" -'Ekonomi Rumah Tangga'.There,we'd learn stuffs like stitching, cooking, some wood work etc.The main point is,I'd always get low marks for my sowing-and I'd always be sending my stitch work to the sowing shop & have them complete my work for me.No kidding! That was what some girls from my class resort to doing out of frustration-like me hee.Now I kind of regretted for not paying attention to my sowing class.I've always imagined me being able to design & sow my own clothes. Some what like Raven from 'That's So Raven'-the Disney series.Back in primary school when I was 9-12 my best friends & I  had made this "magazine" out of a notebook. We tore the cover & made the first page as our magazine cover-we drew comic strips on it plus we designed some clothes with colour pencils. We tried to sell the "magazine" for RM 3/5 I've forgotten but nobody would buy them-except for this one guy,but eventually gave us false hopes hahax-imagine,business transactions amongst 9 year olds hahax. So yeah that was one thing & looking back at it, I did have some interest in the world of designing-and I think I'm quite good at it:)So,right now to increase my value as a budding designer,I want & need to learn how to sow!
But whilst waiting my sowing abilities to bloom bloom & bang I'm planning to sell some things my sister has already designed for example;kimono styled cardigans, scarfs etc.Hopefully they'll be a hit.I'm planning to post some of their pictures here,on Facebook & on Instagram-but I've got to make a base of followers first! There's something about selling things online that excites me!
And of course besides doing business during the holidays I'm planning to get back in shape!Have been slacking for the past couple of years. But being back in Malaysia is so not helping! But I can't make that as an excuse, instead,I've got to find a balance between eating Malaysian food on a daily basis & yet still manage to lose some of the extra pounds-I've got to!
Look out for my next posts:DI've always wanted to try to make reviews on random things be it food, places I've visited, products etc.For my next few posts, any of them will be on this crazily cool moisturizer & face mask I just got for myself last week-both are Face Shop's;Chia seed sebum control moisturiser & Raspberry roots sleeping mask.I've used them for a few days now & generally I'm quite happy with both:D So look out for the reviews for them.I know,I'm a bit late jumping into the bandwagon for Korean skincare products-that has been quite a craze a while back already-but I'm sure there're some people out there like me,& hopefully my reviews will help those people who're in a dilemma in choosing the right skin care products for their skin.
So that's all for today, till my next visit BYE!!!

Wednesday 12 March 2014

Long time no see!

It's been so long since I've posted anything here! Was really busy with classes & exams-in fact I'm just done with my 2nd year of MBBS which felt like a really huge burden has just been lifted of these poor shoulders of mine T.T-so proud of myself sobs hahax :DBesides that I've just shifted to a new house-I've now got room mates!A far cry from when I stayed alone, for around I think 1 & 1/2 years-was kind of proud with my single-minded independence-ness,but as in right now I'm happy with my new companies;2 real nice girls I'd like to create better, newer memories with in my new house.Plus the idea of moving in with people kind of relieved my parents, they were worried when I was alone-so I'm glad that I've moved & gave them some breather. The new house has wi-fi connection-another reason why I was so irregular with my visits here, where I depended on lil' old broadband sticks back in the old house-so hopefully there'll be more of my posts in the future, where the dates' of posts are not soooo widely gapped!Currently I'm back in my lovely lovely wonderful Malaysia -the country where I was born in!After 8 months,I repeat; 8  MONTHS of abstaining myself from booking flight tickets to fly back. But it was worth the wait-passed my finals & now I get to be home for approx 2 months & loving it!Though I'm trying to make sure I won't let this holiday pass by just like that-I'm determined to make full use of it.First thing by stop procrastinating to see friends:p I haven't seen them in ages hopefully this year's World Cup 2014 (in Brazil!)we'll have a get together for old-times' sake.Oh besides football(though my love & also my friends' love for football have been declining for the past recent years-we started going crazy over it when we were 13!) the other thing I'm currently obsessed with is the Korean boy group Exo!I get all fan girly when I talk or in this case write about them!I must say I've been successful in my previous attempts in "suppressing" my love for boy groups, especially Korean boy groups-bcoz I wasn't really into all these cute cutesy ,pretty boy thing-which most Korean singers are known for.Plus I once swore I'd never fall for them. But after staying for 1& 1/2 years in a house full of Korean pop enthusiasts, when I was doing my foundation studies-I lost :pHaha things like these always happen to me-I've realised it awhile back-almost all the opposite "wantings" I have, they'd always turned out to be the opposite-but hopefully for the better. And here I am & not regretting being introduced to Korean music.A little history on my love for everything Korean:First it was a no no no > got introduced to Running man(2011) > Somehow I was swayed but managed to get back to my senses > Got introduced to 'We Got Married"-a Korean variety too;fell head over heels over the Yongseo couple(virtual marriage between CN Blue's Yonghwa & Girls' Generation's Seohyun" > Never looked back since then :P >Girl group era started-was into Girls' Generation(love3 their 'Tell me your wish' song -totally recommend any of u to hear) > Boy group era:Started with Hee chul of Super Junior since I saw him in one of the episodes of Running Man then 2PM(Chansung!) > Started watching some Korean dramas(used to not like them as much bcoz I find them a little too mellow & sad for me)-my fave so far 'The Greatest Love"-that's when I started liking Cha Seung Won,the male lead in that drama-again,I recommend 100% > Then I came to like a few random things mostly their varieties which  I find them to be very unique & they just make me have this good feeling everytime I watch them:D > But then the momentum kind of slowed down bcoz not much around me were really into these things, which was frustrating, bcoz the "art" of loving K pop culture is "fan girling" hahax,in my case then I had no one to do it with! But one day I had a very random conversation with one of my classmates about stuffs such as these then I realised we were into the same thing! Now she's my new housemate so u can imagine how we are at home-fan girling mode 24/7!Back then I was so-so with Exo-showed her one of the downloaded mvs I have of them like 'Growl' & 'Wolf'  & we both got so excited hahax & u can guess what happened after-so that's how I became an Exo fan(their fans are called Exotics, but am not sure I'm applied to be called one yet,not sure I'm as hardcore as some others).Wow was just talking about how I'd like to spend my holidays but I ended up going on & on about my love for K-pop-well then enough of that.So getting back to business,in my attempt to make the most out of my 2 months long holiday,I've decided to be more regular with my postings here(plus it'll help me in the creativity & writing department-once wanted to be an author!),in my postings I'll include stuffs like food I'll be stuffing myself with during my holiday here -Malaysian food to be exact & maybe some international & home made ones as well, reviews on  random stuffs,I've yet to do one one on beauty products-& since I've just picked up one cool new moisturiser, maybe I'll do one in the near future so look out for that, plus places I'll be visiting :)-Besides posting new stuffs here I'll do the other normal things-things I'd tell myself to do,but end up not doing like;exercise!!Hopefully I'll be regular on that too!!Wow I've been using the 'regular' a lot today-which's something I've been lacking recently, which's consistency & I need that back in my life just to get me back on track-hopefully!Wish me all the best & I wish the same for u too! That's all see ya in my next post!
