Idol Hunting + My Super Short Encounter with Exo's D.O

Happy Monday people!Hope your weekend went well.Mine was superb had a great oh-so-full buffet with some of the girls yesterday for my birthday :)Thank you for the lunch, the cake, the presents and everything!Makes up for the ever sad feeling of turning 22 this year!I don't wanna grow up!!I wanna forever be my dad's and my mom's little girl!!Bwahax ok getting a lil' overboard here. But I think most of us can relate to this dilemma I'm having right now-increasing in wisdom and grace is fine but just not the age!Another one of my worries that  came by due to this is that the reality of me becoming a more boring person-and me losing all my craziness with my fan girl mind zapping away little by little hahaxx.Being a doctor in the making is boring enough(purely my thoughts sorry for being frank to doctors and future doctors out there :P )- and now this?!Ow ow headache headache -.-Anyway I'm still in the process of adapting this new reality sobs T.T
Trying to run away from these unhealthy thoughts...lets update on my recent fan girl-ing "activities" :P I'd have to say I was somehow satisfied with my visit to  Seoul.Did most of the things I intended to do there. But most importantly I got to see some idols-Korean singers, for those who don't know what idols refer to.Plus plus plus-it wasn't just any idol-it was Exo!!!Ok ok lets calm down first. Can't help it!I get too excited when I even talk about this, and now when I'm writing about it too!Too late-I'm all overdose with Exo-get it get it?Their new single's called 'Overdose' : D This' getting clinical I'm even referring my jokes to them...
Lets focus!Well on the fifth day there I went idol hunting around Apgujeong.I dragged my mother and youngest sister along with me -but my sister was somewhat a fan too so  it was ok but I felt bad for my mom,for she had to tolerate our craziness :pThank you mama!First, from Jamshil,we took the subway to Cheongdam station. And took a cab to Apgujeong-should have taken the subway to Apgujeong station -.-.When we got off,we got quite lost. But lucky enough for us,I spotted a girl alone sipping some drink behind us-asked her whether she could speak English and she understood perfectly!Apparently she was a Chinese Canadian(like Kris!)-asked her if she knew how to get to SM Entertainment's building. To my amazement, she took out her phone and started showing me pictures of the building.Only then I knew that the building I was looking for,is actually the old SM building. So she recommended me to go to the new one which was a lil' further away-she told us that that was where all the fans will be waiting. Was super lucky to meet a well equipped super knowledgeable fan! After getting the directions,we started off for the old building-though it was the old one,I insisted on going still :pSorry mama again ;)But thank God we went there because it has a humongous poster of Exo's Overdose  on the front and a huge TVXQ's on the sides.I bet behind the huge Exo poster there're the graffiti's Girls' Generation made for their Mr Mr's promotions!

The Givenchy branch near the old SM building  Exo's Luhan was rumored to be shopping

A potential idol van!

Basically we just took pictures in front of the old SM building. But to get a clearer shot of the huge poster we crossed the road and had "photo sessions" with the building at the petrol station across the old building :p Next,we made our way to JYP's building which was claimed to be near SM' s old building. To people who are used to walking it'd seem near but it was quite a lengthy walk.Got lost a couple of times along the way but people were nice enough to help in giving out directions though some were struggling with their English but we were still really thankful to them :)The JYP building is way out from the main roads-you'd have to walk in deeper, and it's opposite to Baskin Robbins. There were fans lining up mostly with presents in their hands probably wanting to pass them to I don't know Nikhun,Wooyoung,Suzy,So Hee or  the 2AM or Got7 boys-I can only guess :PBut it was a great thing to see other fans around, makes me think how less crazy I'am,plus it kinda made a point to  my mom that I wasn't the only crazy fan girl-ing being on Earth hee :D We waited in front of JYP's for like 15 minutes-took pictures at JYP's doorsteps!Might have stepped on Chansung's footsteps OMG-Chansung was my bias from  2PM once upon a time-sorry 2PM!We also took pics of 2PM'S signatures on a poster hung on the walls in Baskin Robbins!Idols eat Baskin Robbins too!
Fans hanging around Baskin Robbin's with gifts in hands

Cube studios on the same street as JYP's!
From JYP's building,we wanted to grab a cab to the new SM building. But most of the taxi drivers had no idea where it was! What was more puzzling was that some didn't even know what SM was.I was like "Sajangnim(don't know if that came out right :p) SM building?Lee Soo Man?Super Junior?" Maybe it was my bad -mind my very poor Korean :P.I even had to ask an international fan,I think she was either from the Philippines or Indonesia. She didn't really know the way.She in turn asked me whether I know where to buy a plushy named after 2PM's Taecyeon if I'm not mistaken..but I didn't know about that too!In the end we decided to just walk there.I was getting quite restless because I couldn't spot any youngsters as we were blindly walking against gravity along a mini hill :pThen lastly! We found two school girls.I asked them where the building was in my super duper poor Korean-but thank God they got me!In fact I just mainly said SM repeatedly hahax.Apparently both of them just got back from the same place we were heading! They were soo cute when trying to give us directions ,very polite too!But we still got lost after. So I stopped by Seven Eleven-a group of school girls in their uniforms heard us asking the shopkeeper-once they heard of "SM" from our mouths they immediately were like "Ok ok there walk straight"-I swear the girls there were super helpful fans.Lastly we spotted the building! That is,before having line up in front of the wrong building-we stood in front of FNC first, but I asked one of the fans if it was the right place, but they were actually lining up for CN Blue! One of the girls was nice enough to accompany us in front of the new SM building :)I have to say fan minds are soo alike, fans were soo helpful there! They made my idol hunting experience more  fun and easy!
Somehow the "invisible hole" in my heart was filled once I set my eyes on the building bwahaxx! Was soo happy to finally see it.Took many pictures with the building..I know right?!Pictures with the building??But didn't have any time to be embarrassed-because most of the fans there did the same! They were mostly international fans there-I could spot some from China,Thailand,Canada,Japan etc.Thank God there was a mini park across the building soo I got my mom to sit there and rest :)While waiting and after countless photos with SM's logo in front,I had a chat with some fans. There was this girl from China-she said that she's been visiting this building six days consecutively! She said she has seen Super Junior and Exo walking in and out of the building!I choked when I heard about Exo.I didn't ask whether it was Exo M or K because I was starting to get jealous :p plus I'd cry buckets if she were to have seen Exo M!What more Kris!Aaaaaah ok ok I'm starting to scare myself and maybe you too soweee :p :D Bipolar alert! After almost 30 minutes of waiting(mind you -standing too!My poor legs..),a white coloured van pulled over into the parking space in front.Camera ready, everyone was quietly excited on who'd it'd be.Suddenly a really slim girl with a somewhat unhappy expression on her face came out of the car with a guy along side(I'm guessing the manager!)-I immediately thought it was Boa!To my surprise not many people were shouting,I wasn't shouting myself-there were mostly girl fans, with most of them waiting for their either TVXQ,Super Junior,Shinee or Exo oppas :pHence the not-so-much shouting-ouch!But then I asked the 6-days-SM building-girl and she said it was Krystal from FX-so it did make sense because the girl had a great body especially in jeans plus she's almost always brushing her hair off with the fingers running like the picture below!I like FX too soo was kinda disappointed of myself for being so nonchalant when she came out :p

Woot nice building!Less bulky than the old one

Tired dedicated fans :)

Everything went soo fast-can you see Krystal?Look how she's running her fingers through her
hair-like she always does,so we were guessing she was really Krystal-no?

My sister's clearest shot of Krystal !
I got quite motivated on seeing Krystal on my first time in front of SM!So I got quite optimistic on seeing other SM's artists-especially Exo!So I kinda begged my mom to wait a lil' while more! She agreed yay!So after about 30 minutes after being able to see Krystal-I got quite impatient, lethargic, with my autograph book, in one hand, with a pen slipped in between one of the pages-all  ready-in case I get too starstruck to even open the pages :pWith my phone in camera mode in the other(should have put it in video mode!-I'll tell you in a minute why I'm sooo frustrated about that one point!I was about to give up when suddenly SUDDENLY!!The main glass door slid open-there,stepping out from the building was Exo's DO! DO! DO!Aaaaaaah.Ok calm down Sarah!I was sooo unprepared-thought I was!!I was almost, well not almost, more than that actually-starstruck-ed seeing him.I was approximately 8 metres away from him!His eyes were soo big- I swear just like how the other members' have joked that about him.Plus I don't know if it was the distance between us but he looked tiny!!Adorably tiny maybe because of his baby face!He put on a shy smile at first probably he felt awkward without the rest of the members.Me,being as starstruck-ed as anyone can ever be-forgot to take a picture of his face!!Can you imagine I cannot, still, get over that fact till now.And I have been whining to some ill-fated friends of mine ever since!!That's why I should've put my phone on video mode. But still, I was guessing I wasn't the only one-most of the fans there were heavily and loudly sighing when he was gone. For like the first five seconds we were silent and was in the process to identify whether the person in front was actually DO!Then right after we quickly gathered our senses and ran into his direction-but were blocked by two guards -.-So there goes my fan signing event :p But I have to tell you after that "unforgivable" first five seconds,I was still contemplating to run because the others were still not running so I wasn't sure what to do.But at last everybody did.At that time I did get the chance to get pictures of him-his back(checkered green shirt) with his backpack ONLY!!!But still was thankful to even see a member from Exo.To tell you the truth DO was my first favourite member from Exo(he kinda of reminded me of Super Junior's Siwon back then),then it was Baekhyun, lastly and till now it's Kris :)Mind you, everyone else was quietly taking pictures of him and quietly squealing out his name-being the crazier me,I shouted his name out loud alone gulp!I wasn't really aware what I was doing hahax should have shouted out Kyungsoo instead :PAnyways the regret remains still...but still I came back to Malaysia happy!
Can you see how close we were from him??!!If only the guards weren't there!DO's in the checkered green shirt

Can't take my camera off him :P

Still can't..

Till he's gone...still can't take my camera away-haishh the regret T.T

My housemate,Jane, understood my regrets and wrote me this in the empty
autograph book  I took home haha-thanks!
After he was gone to the parking area at the back which I got to step on!!-there was a clear silent from the fan, then, it got noisy with sighs and squealings of regrets aaaahhhh!I was in a too excited mode.So when I'm in one,I tend to speak real loudly-I mentioned Exo's Sehun's and Exo's Chanyeol's name "quite' loudly to my lil' sister-well not as loud! But was thinking that the fans' ears were a lil' too sensitive to the mentionings of any of Exo's members' names during the very very sensitive post-seeing-DO period :p So after I said their names out loud, everyone was like "Huh huh Sehun?" "Chanyeol?" "Where where?" Felt so bad for giving them false alarms but I was too sad for myself too!I especially got the two Japanese fan girls beside me alarmed, mainly when I mentioned Sehun's!But then I got even more optimistic to wait longer but it was already five something in the evening and we had to catch dinner with the rest of my family in Dongdaemun so we had to leave T.T.I don't know why but I was unconsciously waiting for Exo's Kai to pop out next from the glass doors haha. Wierd, because Baekhyun's my bias from Exo K-but I like all members all together. When we were about to go, the Chinese Canadian girl we met earlier was walking down the street towards the building.Had a chat with her again-got to know she was going back to her country on the next day-the same day we supposedly had to go back too, before being off-loaded :p Regretted for not asking about her name or anything-I could've gotten more infos from her on these things, if I did, and we could've been crazee fan girls together too-another regret for the day...Plus,before we left, the two Japanese girls asked me where to get bubble teas around the area-to me it was a random question, but I just told them that they should walk up more because it could be there. But when I got back to Bangalore for school,Jane told me that there's a bubble tea shop in that area and that most idols are frequently seen there-plus Exo's Sehun's a fan of bubble teas!So seeing the way the two girls reacted to my ever-so-loud mentioning of Sehun, and their search for bubble teas,I can say that they're Sehun's die-hards :)
Anyway, that was the story of my regrettable idol hunting experience-but I'll get over it somehow...hopefully with more encounters!!Here are other snaps of photos of my Exo Hunting Seoul Experience...Mostly inspired after watching MBC's Exo's Showtime religiously :P
Namsan Cable Car station-the one where Tao wanted to go on so much-on episode 7!

On the cable car-I think we got on the same one as the one Exo did

The twist potato stall they went to(I know what you're thinking-how can I remember
and that I'm crazy :P

Namsan tower

Was trying to look out for the tiles that had Sehun's name on..

Me,still searching-strained my eyes for it-I'm crazy -.-

The stools they sat on-I'm super crazy -.-

The elevator they got on to get to the top of the tower-Kris' galaxy ceiling lifts

I seriously thought this was the pad-lock Kris had written on-but when I checked back,
his was blue with white heart-got caught up because of the word 'Kris' on it ...but when
I looked nearer, the date was different to when they'd actually visited :p

The same pad-lock that got me tricked!

SM's Pop Up store in Lotte Department store in Myeongdong-with the members'
signatures,except for Kris'

This shirt has Kris tag to it-I'm guessing he designed it for the shop...
Plus it's cool with some laces coming out and the picture of twisted arms-artsy!

Spotted this in a subway station-Luhan's in it!

Episode 7 too -the tourist information centre they visited when they were at
Gwanghwamun Square-I made my sister take a close-up on this one :P

Me,imitating Tao-episode 7

Had to!Just had to stand where they stood:PWas a lil' shy to do the Exo's
Showtime's action they usually do on Showtime :p

The lady of a music store in Myeongdong(in front of Olive Young) was kind enough to
let us take a picture of this poster with Exo's signatures!

Exo's album signed-the store's on the second  floor above the huge
Nature Republic store in Myeongdong!

Giant Exo standees on the 1st floor in the huge Nature Republic store in Myeongdong!

Displayed pictures of them visiting the same store we visited!!

Some of Exo's signatures for the store

Made my sister to take these too-in Hongdae1With Kris' favourite shirt brands
being displayed-off white,HBA etc -they visited Hongdae on the second episode of
Showtime-plus I think I spotted the clothes shop Tao was left wandering alone in!

Some China fan made this for Xiumin for his birthday-in subway stations! How nice!

Review on Nature Republic's By Flower BB Cream in No.2

Another one of my Nature Republic's purchase-BB cream!Besides the fact of me wanting to get my hands on the Exo standees,I also bought this because I just wanted to try it out-my very first BB cream!Plus I wanted to figure out what the hype is all about BB creams.Just like the other Nature Republic's stuffs,I got it from Songdo's Lotte Mart.So what is a BB cream?BB in short stands for beauty balms or blemish balms-being developed first in Germany by a dermatologist there.Later, its multi-purpose-ness became a hit in South Korea then throughout Asia & now almost the whole world :)So I thought why not I get one in a country that it's popularized in :)
Lovely lovely packaging with lil' flowery details

I got the one on the right-in natural beige, the other is no.1  in pink beige

My bare hands

I put on a make-up base first!In mint green

Smoothed out the base :)

Dabbed on the BB cream!Looks like choco blob

On its way to even things out..

Woooo done! You can see that it looks a lil' cakey on me
What it says on the packaging?
Nature Republic By Flower BB Cream SPF 35 PA++-BB cream with corn flower extract that makes skin baby soft.
The back part of the tube is mainly in Hangul.

How to use:
I checked the web,it says;Apply a moderate amount gently.Like with primers and bases I dab them with my middle finger on my cheeks with three separate consecutive blobs in each row.Minimum of two rows on each side of my cheeks. One blob on the nose & chin, two on the forehead. Then I spread them in an outward motion-as evenly as it can get :)If it looks cakey,I'd dab my face with a beauty sponge -so it'll look smoother!

Ingredients:
Corn flower extracts(main)

Volume:35ml

Price:5900 Korean Won approximately RM18.

My Verdict:
First,as always,I love almost any kinds of packaging of Nature Republic's products-simple yet adorable :)Especially the flower details they have just like the ones from its Botanical Vanilla line. It's in a simple and slender squeeze-me upside down tube.I like that the nozzle has a tiny hole to it-so that I can better control the amount I need to squeeze out and not go too overboard with the amount at once :)-unlike some tubes such as this-.- .When I first dabbed it on it had quite a heavy feel to it if you know what I mean.Oh before I'd put them on,I had put on the Nature Republic's Botanical Vanilla make-up base-to minimize the pores' appearances.Plus I thought the BB cream will look better with it on.But to my disappointment,it did not T.T.It turned out to be cakey and powdery and it's no where near to a smooth finish...I also think that the next time I ever do try it,I'll have to mix it with another darker toned BB cream as this one had an unnatural brightening effect on my skin.Right now I'm eyeing on The Body Shop's All-In-One Colour Adapting BB Cream-which I came across last Wednesday.I may need to try that one out!On a plus side,my skin felt less oily even by fourth hour after putting it on!Usually it'll start getting oily by the second hour. One thing's for sure, it has a nice "flowery" smell-well I think they're flowers :pPlus it's affordable-that is,if you happen to buy it in South Korea.I don't know about anywhere else but Malaysian branches of Nature Republic sell them at almost three times the price you can get in South Korea -.-.Lastly,I'd have to say I'd surely be looking out for other BB creams-just not this one.But I'll tell you how it goes if I try mixing this one out with Body Shop's :) Not sure if it's safe enough to mix them but who knows it'll might work!Ok that's all for today see ya!
Ps I know today was supposed to be my first day in the hospital, but I woke up with a really bad headache so I thought I'd miss the first day.And I got super bored so I thought I might as well update you guys with some reviews.Hopefully this helped :)

Review on Nature Republic's Botanical Vanilla Make-Up Base-in Vanilla Green

Hi all!So my next review on my latest purchases of make-up items is going to be on Nature Republic's Botanical Vanilla Make-Up Base in Vanilla Green :)First,I have to say that one of the main reason for me to be having sooo many Nature Republic's items is because of me wanting to get more of the free Exo members' cardboard standees :pI know I know I'm crazee -.-.Only Exotics can get me T.T...Enough said I'm an Exo Freak-period hee.Moving on to the product....The second, kinda also one of my "main" reason for getting this' because I have heard great reviews on make-up bases-so thought it would be great to have one for myself!Again, I got this at Songdo's Lotte Mart-a last minute purchase.I also like this base because it has got vanilla extracts in it :) I love love vanilla-most of the things I own have got a lil' of vanilla in them-my body cream, shower cream(added with coconut yum!),perfume-love its ice cream too!So next to Exo and face masks-I'm a Vanilla Freak too yikes :pThere're two varieties of bases in this Botanical Vanilla line-one being in green and the other in pink.I got it in green because my skin has got a reddish complexion, especially at the cheeks. And green coloured bases can help correct and calm the redness woot.Plus it preps your skin for foundation or BB/CC cream too! Here's how it looks like...
Here it is!Sorry for the wires & notebook at the back :p

Another of its variety in this line

My bare hands before applying the base-you can spot a small scar :p

Liking the mint green colour!

Glides easily..

The skin's brightened out after spreading evenly! The appearance of the scar is somehow reduced!
Imagine what it'll do to pores..

What it says on the packaging :
Botanical Vanilla Make-Up Base SPF20 PA++ - This make-up base enriched with vanilla extract for fair complexion

How to use:
Since the description on the tube is mainly in Korean,I followed the how tos of using this from the web,it goes;Apply a moderate amount according to skin's texture.
I like using my fingers to dab them on at first especially on the areas of my skin that's prone to redness-CHEEKS!Then I spread them using my index finger. If it looks blotchy or if you want to smooth out the look you can dab the areas  you've put it on, with those beauty sponges-so the excesses will be removed :)

Ingredients:
The main ones I got from the web;Vanilla extract,Mineral Water

Net Weight: 35g

Price:5900 Korean Won-approximately RM18.But it's cheaper because I got it from its manufacturing country itself-it's more costly in Malaysia or anywhere else :p So that's why I always suggest to buy things from koreandepart.com :)

My Verdict:
I'll start with the packaging first :)It's simple, small, easy to be carried around, plus I love the mint coloured flower details on the tube-where they have it on products from the Nature Republic's Botanical line. The scent of the base is just "powdery"and lightly scented nothing overwhelming-which's a good thing!I like the fact that it's green in colour-because green based bases can conceal the redness on my cheeks.Instead, for people who's skin is not sensitive or not prone to redness or to whom that just needs a healthy pinkish glow to their skin,I suggest to get this in pink. The texture is smooth and lightweight not heavy when applied,so you won't really feel stuffy. It glides easily too!It also minimized the appearance of the pores on my face woot.It also has an added plus point with it being a SPF20-so you don't have to worry about putting on sunscreen!Meanwhile, the downside of this base would be the fact that it might not be appropriate for all skin colour-especially to people with darker skin tones. For myself,I'm quite tan-so when I put it on,I have to make sure I don't go overboard with the amount that I put on at a time-because when I start to spread it,it'll come out as being too "white"-or a fake whitish ghost look.I wish it could tone down in its brightening effects' department. If it does so,I can definitely see this as the only thing to put on,on a very hectic day-without the need to apply BB/CC creams or even foundation!Because it already has the upper hand in minimizing the appearance of pores. But when I applied BB cream after applying this-it did reduce the "ghost" look a little. So whenever I use this,I have to make sure I apply BB cream after.Which makes sense-because it is only a base-but I'm just being optimistic to find a multi-purpose make-up base :D Right now I think it'll be a keeper-because I'm not planning to get any make-up bases in the near future, but I may have to leave it out from my haul once I find a better one :/ But it did the things it said it'll do-that's brightening. But people with darker skin tones would have to test this one out first before purchasing :) .Hopefully my review helped!Bye!Tomorrow's my first day in the hospital for third year(yikes!)-wish me luck!

Review on Nature Republic's Botanical Pore Pact

After a long break from making product reviews I finally am making time for a new one :p Today's product would be Nature Republic's Botanical Pore Pact.I'm excited to write about this baby!Bought it last minute at Songdo's Lotte Mart on the second last day of our holiday in Seoul.I have to say this' one of my very first purchase of make-up item besides the ones I've listed-of the the other great make-up items I got from Korea.I've always been more of a "skincare prioritizer" kinda person never was a fan of make-ups.But I got a little adventurous in my purchases(after non-stop consecutive night strolls  in Myeongdong :p),because click here for moreBeauty Diary
